As Meat Beat Manifesto is not playing in either Tampa or Miami, we invite you to come up to see them in Gainesville! Here's the line-up: Meat Beat Manifesto http://www.meatbeattour.com http://brainwashed.com/mbm/ http://www.myspace.com/meatbeatmanifesto http://www.digitalchemist.com/mbm/ Dalek http://www.deadverse.com/ Harrison Fjord local - no website Wednesday, February 22nd at Common Grounds 210 SW 2nd Ave. (in Downtown Gainesville, FL) 10:00pm $10 I flew out to L.A. last June to see Meat Beat Manifesto play on the first leg of their current tour. 1998 was the last time they toured, so be prepared for a much different show from MBM this time around. The band consists of Jack Dangers, Ben Stokes (of Tino/D.H.S.), Mark Pistel (of Consolidated), and live drummer Lynn Farmer. It will be a sort of greatest hits type tour, with some additional songs from MBM's new album, "At The Center". Live visuals will be projected onto two screens... you will get to see all of the samples from MBM's set as visual representations (the movies and tv shows they were originally lifted from). The audio and video are mixed live by Ben Stokes and jack Dangers. As far as merchandise goes, a new live CD (recorded at the Metro in Chicago on June 22, 2005) will be for sale exclusively at all shows on the tour. Entitled "Meat Beat Manifesto Live '05", it is in a limited edition of 1000 with each disc packaged in a digipak signed and customized by Jack Dangers. There are also plenty of new logo t-shirts. Here are all of the dates: February 9 - San Francisco, CA - Mezzanine February 10 - Los Angeles, CA - Knitting Factory February 11 - Tucson, AZ - Club Congress February 13 - Denver, CO - Bluebird Theatre February 16 - Austin, TX - The Parish February 17 - Houston, TX - Engine Room February 18 - Baton Rouge, LA - Spanish Moon February 20 - Orlando, FL - The Social February 21 - Jacksonville, FL - Jack Rabbit's February 22 - Gainesville, FL - Common Grounds February 23 - Atlanta, GA - Smith's Old Bar February 24 - Carrboro, NC - Cat's Cradle February 25 - New York, NY - BB Kings February 26 - Buffalo, NY - Icon February 27 - Cleveland, OH - Grog Shop February 28 - Chicago, IL - The Abbey Christopher Miller Electronic SubSouth http://www.ElectronicSubSouth.com http://www.myspace.com/ElectronicSubSouth http://www.medicinefilms.com/users/ElectronicSubSouth/
